- ID.me also maintains a legitimate interest in the processing of the Personal Information of individuals who use, or have previously used, the ID.me platform for verification of identity or group affiliation.

ID.me complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. ID.me has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles with regard to the processing of Personal Information received from the European Union and the United Kingdom.

ID.me may transfer your Personal Information to carefully selected service providers, business partners, and other third parties for the purposes described in the [ID.me Privacy Policy](https://id.me/privacy).

We will retain your Personal Information and account history for up to 3 years following account closure for the detection and prevention of fraud on the ID.me platform.
